How to select outfit for functions

Outfit selection is the most difficult thing till you know the process. We all want to look trendy, fashionable and follow our favourite fashion icon but what exactly is the right FASHION?

Being Fashionable is not about wearing the best trending clothes, or wearing the clothes that matches the occasion or wearing something that your most admired person wore in the last party. Clothes are the signature to your personality, they communicate even when you are standing still.

Before you start selecting your outfit for the occasion make sure you know how you want to look like, you must know what is your personality trait, or how you want to reform your personality for the function.

Ask simple questions to yourself…

ARE YOU BOLD ? Or WANT TO LOOK BOLD? Or ARE YOU TREND SUPPORTER, ARE YOU INSTA FASHION ICON or ARE YOU WILLING TO LOOK LIKE FASHION ICON… or something like that…

Ok!! Wait a min!

Don’t panic, all of us face issues like this before every special function, and the reason i find behind is that we all want to look the best version of ourself and at some point we also want to be admired in the function and later on too. ( now some of you will say no! Koi na…But i do! Haha)

So, Follow the given process below to find the best outfit.

1 – FIND DETAILS ABOUT THE FUNCTION

So when i say find details about the function you need to solve these questions and half of your problem will be sorted.

What is the function about, is it traditional or western party, Is their any theme? What kind of people are joining the function? At what place is the function taking place.?

2- FIND THE THEME

If the function organisers have decided a theme, may be the theme will carry a colour or a type of dress or logo that will become much relaxing for the guest to select their outfit. What what if their is no theme??or

And if their is any particular dress then you need not to worry for the outfit because each one will already be guided for the outfit but if its a colour code theme you need to find the outfit of your choice but the colour should be theirs. Ok lets what’s next!!!

3- SELECT THE PATTERN OF DRESS Accordingly

Pattern of dress eventually means that the dress that matches your occasion i.e if it is an indian function wear something completely traditional or indo western and if its western function wear an Western outfit,

If this was that simple why would you search here!! Right? now you want to know what should i wear when its a traditional function like suit and saree are common and indo western you don’t want to go for skirt and top in general, RIGHT? Ok but then if you have selected the pattern you can proceed reading (not all of us needs options)

But in all the selection make sure you remember that the dress you select reflects your personality.

You are not supposed to select any thing that is uncomfortable or looks forced on you.

Now when you have selected the pattern of your dress,

4- CORRECT FABRIC SELECTION

The fabric of the clothes tells the quality of the dress and Its really important to select the right fabric that suits best for your personality and the occasion too.

Why?

Ok imagine Its a simple day time pooja around your house and someone wearing a shimmering fabric outfit now imagine your face looking at the person!! I hope you got it what I meant to say!!

5- BUY OR GET STITCHED THE PATTERN OF OUTFIT You selected

Now, its not necessary you will find the pattern of dress you selected on your local easily available shops, most of times you don’t but need not to worry get it stiched buying the right fabric.

6- TRY THE OUTFIT WITH ALL THE MINIMALIST JEWELLERY

My all time favourite suggestions to my people is that please do try your complete outfit with all the jewellery at-least a date before the main occasion, i swear it works the best at least for me!!!

These question will give you enough idea about the outfit you should be selecting for the occasion.
